AKTID UNVEILS ITS VISION FOR THE SORTING CENTERS OF TOMORROW AT THE SMART EVENT
On 14 November, Aktid made an impression with the launch of its innovative new solutions, Aktid Smart Solutions, at an event dedicated to artificial intelligence applied to waste sorting centres. Industry experts, partners and customers were able to discover a bold vision of tomorrow’s sorting centres: an interconnected Autopilot system designed to adapt in real time to changes and challenges in waste management.
On 14 November, Aktid brought together experts, partners and customers at an exceptional event to launch the new products in its Aktid Smart Solutions range. The meeting also provided an opportunity to unveil Aktid’s vision for the sorting centres of tomorrow, moving towards Industry 5.0 with interconnected equipment that is self-piloted by artificial intelligence.
Experts Gathered Around the Table
Hosted by Éric Renévier, Editor-in-Chief of ECOMEDIA Groupe, the event began with a presentation on artificial intelligence in industry, introduced by Pierre Rosa, Industry 4.0 Project Manager at ENE (Expert du Numérique en Entreprises). The afternoon continued with a round-table discussion featuring experts from the waste management sector: Bertrand Le Floch, Co-Director of Guyot Environnement, Philippe Laurent, a specialist consultant, notably for the eco-organisation ECO DDS, and Emmanuel Birot, technical sorting expert at Veolia. Together they discussed the constraints and opportunities in the sector, the major operational challenges and the role of innovation in meeting these challenges.
Autopilot: The Revolution in Sorting Centers by Aktid
The highlight of the day was the presentation of the Aktid Smart Solutions range, which fascinated the attendees. Frédéric Milin and Vanessa Troillard, Head of Innovation and Head of Marketing & Communication at Aktid, respectively, presented the full range of local control and operational support solutions, concluding with the unveiling of Autopilot, an autonomous system capable of managing and adapting the operation of waste sorting centres in real time to variations in waste flows and production contingencies.
The presentation continued with workshops in small groups, giving participants a closer look at the innovative features of the new products in the range, which combine automation and artificial intelligence to optimise the performance of sorting plants.
The event ended with an informal get-together where attendees continued their discussions and reflections over a drink.
